A&M-San Antonio soccer teams announce fall schedules

SAN ANTONIO – Texas A&M University–San Antonio's soccer teams will have a total of nine home dates on their inaugural soccer schedules, the athletic department announced Tuesday.

The men's and women's soccer teams will host eight doubleheaders on the A&M–San Antonio campus. The campus will host its first varsity sporting events on Tuesday, Aug. 24, when the teams host Arlington Baptist. All home doubleheaders will begin with the women's match kicking off at 1 p.m.

A&M–San Antonio's eight home doubleheaders includes one exhibition doubleheader against Western Texas College on Thursday, Sept. 2. Additionally, the men's soccer team will host Sul Ross State on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 3 p.m.

The soccer teams will open Red River Athletic Conference play at home Thursday, Sept. 23, when the Jaguars host Texas A&M–Texarkana in a doubleheader. The Jaguar teams will each play five conference home matches and six conference road matches.

The Jaguar soccer teams will open the season Saturday, Aug. 21, when they travel to Fort Worth to visit Texas Wesleyan. The women's match will kick off that doubleheader at 5 p.m.
