Facility Overview
The Track & Field Complex is a competition-quality outdoor track and field facility located on the campus of Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Designed to support both training and intercollegiate competition, the complex will provide a first-class environment for Jaguar student-athletes.
Who can use it
The facility will serve the University’s men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field programs, along with men’s and women’s cross country. Beginning in the 2026–27 academic year, these programs will expand the University’s varsity offerings to 12 sports and increase participation in Jaguar Athletics to nearly 200 student-athletes.
History
The Track & Field Complex is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 as part of the largest athletics expansion in University history. The addition of track and field and cross country reflects the institution’s continued strategic growth and commitment to providing competitive excellence and leadership opportunities for student-athletes.
The facility is part of a new athletics complex made possible through a $10 million investment from Bexar County. This investment also supports the University’s new softball complex and establishes a modern athletics footprint that will serve both the campus and the surrounding community.
