Facility Overview

The Texas A&M–San Antonio Softball Field is a purpose-built collegiate athletics facility designed to host home games and daily practices for the softball program. The field features an artificial turf playing surface engineered for durability, performance consistency, and year-round use. The facility supports a structured game-day environment while also accommodating regular team training and development.

The venue primarily serves the Texas A&M–San Antonio Jaguars softball program. It provides student-athletes and coaching staff with a dedicated home venue and also welcomes visiting teams, officials, and members of the campus and local community for home contests.

History

The Texas A&M–San Antonio Softball Field opened in 2026 as part of the university’s ongoing investment in expanding and strengthening its intercollegiate athletics offerings. The construction of the facility established a permanent home for Jaguars Softball and enhanced the university’s ability to host collegiate competition on campus. The opening of the field marked a new chapter for the program, creating an elevated student-athlete and fan experience within the growing athletics footprint at Texas A&M–San Antonio.

 

Features & Amenities

The facility’s artificial turf playing surface provides a high-quality competition environment designed to meet collegiate standards. Team locker room facilities are located within the nearby Campus Recreation Center, offering student-athletes access to secure changing space and support amenities in close proximity to the field. The venue includes accessible pathways and seating accommodations to ensure ADA-compliant access for all visitors. Seating at the field accommodates 350 spectators for softball games.
